Good afternoon. This is my second day at the Asia Pacific Roundtable meeting organised by ISIS Malaysia. This is primarily a gathering of security experts and foreign policy academics. This year’s main focus is on China and its expanding influence on the region. Side issues include ASEAN politics, nuclear threats and US China trade war.
Yesterday, I caught up with HE Julia Bentley, the Canadian High Commissioner. I also got to know a few professors and academics. The discussions have been more cerebral than usual. The conference held here in KL Hilton and will end tomorrow.
