Condolences

I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family and friends of YB Senator Dato Ong Chong Swen. I have known Senator Ong for close to 7 years. While we were on the opposite side of the political divide in Kelana Jaya/Subang Parliament, she was always courteous towards me in all meetings. We met on many temple events and on several community nights in Subang Jaya. After a few months, we found out that we have a close common friend in YB Tan Yee Kew. In the last few years, she offered friendly advice, expressed concern on the state of the country and politics. The last meaningful time we spent was when we were in Bangkok for the AIPA conference this year. I will miss her as a politician who readily offered her views and an easy wide smile. May she rest in peace.
