I joined a few MPs to meet anti-death penalty advocates from Europe and the Middle East. Since high school, some 30 years ago, I have been against the idea of death penalty as a sentence for crime. If the state kills a criminal, it is no better than the criminal. What more with the reality and frequent occurrences of miscarriages of justice.
Gillian and I also worked on a speech for Kak Wan, who is heading for Geneva to become a panelist in two events at a very important human rights conference. Kak Wan flies off tomorrow.
