The Speaker of Dewan Rakyat Tan Sri Pandikar Amin said he wants to reform Parliament, make it more open, more modern, more relevant. All this after his heart to heart with Dr. Mahathir, which he then U-turned on. Presumably because after Dr. Mahathir, he had a heart to heart talk with Najib.
Two days ago, he ejected 2 DAP MPs from the Dewan. Yesterday, he denied the motion to debate claims by the Police Special Branch that 80% of border authorities are corrupt, even though the Minister acknowledged the report.
Now, our self proclaimed “reformist minded” Speaker comes to the rescue of Najib over 1MDB.
